Prepare for Eye or ear infection



Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. Ofloxacin drops can be used to treat eye or ear infections.

When to avoid

Most eye infections are viral and don't require antibiotics. Avoid in viral infections.

When is it dangerous

If you normally wear contact lenses, stop wearing them until the infection is completely healed. Avoid if allergic to ofloxacin or other drugs in this class, called fluoroquinolones. There have been rare reports of serious allergic reactions to ofloxacin drops.

When is it used

Eye infection 1 drop in the affected eye 4 times per day for 7 days
Ear infection 2 drops in the affected ear 4 times per day for 7 days
